E is for Elephants.
I love elephants. There is just something so majestic about them. I actually collect elephant things. Here are some sepia photos of elephants I took while at the San Diego Wild Animal Park.
You can see other sepia photos I have submitted as part of the Wednesday Sepia Scenes meme below:
This post is part of a month-long series, A-Z, that I am participating in for the month of April. You can learn more about it by clicking on the link over on the right sidebar.

lovely shots. Elephants are pretty amazing creatures. David Suzuki on The Nature of Things produced an excellent show on an elephant rescue mission in Africa. it’s well worth watching. It’s called For the Love of Elephants and if you want, you can watch it on line at this link.

I love these photos, especially the second one – so cute! I once did a post about this unique vacation destination. I’m pretty sure you’ll enjoy learning about it:

Thanks for stopping by my site! At the Pittsburgh zoo last year, they had a birthday party for a baby elephant. I went. It was so cute. The San Deigo zoo is the absolute best though. I lived in SoCal for a long time and miss the sunshine :-).

How cute! I have been to the San Diego zoo only once, and the Wild Animal Park twice. I want to go back!!

I’m so glad you didn’t photograph the one w/his privates hanging to the ground. The last time we went, my kids were like…what’s that? My 7 year old boy says “Is that his…it’s dragging on the ground???”
Okay, movin’ on…let’s go see what the Polar Bears are doing.
Have you been to Tori’s site? She loves elephants. She wants to sit down and have coffee w/one…like old girlfriends! Here’s my post…if you visit her site, make sure to let her know I sent ya! 🙂

I would just love to ride on one and feed it. Not sure I would have coffee with it.

Stacey, my friend just returned from an African Safari. She shared her video of the herd of elephants sans baby and teenager they came upon while riding in the jungle. Amazing!

I haven’t been to the Wild Animal Park in literally decades. These make me want to jump into my car and endure the 8 hour drive to get there and see it again.

I would say it is worth it…come for a weekend and go to SD Zoo as well.

Terrific shots Stacey… I’ve been meaning to ask what type of camera you have/use often. 8)
