This weeks photo challenge from WordPress is OLD. While looking through my photos, I came across two that I wanted to share. The first is a picture of me when I was a baby:
The second picture is my grandparent’s wedding picture, which I believe was in 1950:
This picture is particularly important to me because it has almost been a year since my grandfather passed away. Last year, they would have celebrated 60 years of marriage together, which seems almost unheard of nowadays. My grandfather proudly served his country in the Navy, then later worked at a state correctional facility, and he was an amazing man. My grandmother, who is equally amazing, continues to live in Florida and is retired from the banking field.
