I am a small-town, upstate NY girl, who moved to southern California in March 2006. I’m loving the big city life and am still in awe of everything that there is here. I am happily married and the mother to an amazing little boy. I work in social work, with developmentally disabled young adults. I LOVE hockey, football, and also love going to baseball games. Other interests are traveling, photography, cooking, trying new things, going to Disneyland, eating sushi and trying other ethnic foods. I have a very fond affection for shoes, jewelry, makeup, and Coach purses. The beach relaxes me, as does just driving around with the music blaring and admiring all of God’s creation….though you won’t catch me without my GPS, since I get lost REALLY easily. I started this blog as a way to improve on my writing skills, and to have a place to write random thoughts, share funny stories, rant about things on my mind, share new recipes, meet new people with similar interests, and really just walk this journey of life with others. I hope you will join me on this journey. Your comments, feedback and questions are welcome.
“The road of life twists and turns and no two directions are ever the same. Yet our lessons come from the journey, not the destination.”

Hi Stacey! I’ve awarded you with the Versatile Blogger Award. Check it out at my blog!
March 30th, 2011 at 9:37 am
Hey, Stace!
You quietly subscribed to my blog and then didn’t comment anywhere! I almost didn’t know, had I not cleared out my “junk mail” folder and discovered a wordpress notice of subscription! (gasp!)
You need to stop on the board and make your presence known! I’ve got a neat little community building. I decided instead of just trying to find local, Orange county CA people…it was time to widen and make a goal of a blogger from every state!
The WordPress notification indicated they think you are in Temecula…and that’s about an hour’s drive or so from me! So, I’m excited to visit each other’s blog and make a new friendship!
I don’t know if you get to the Orange county area, but I’m willing to chat away and meet for lunch one day.
Sandi

Southern California sounds like a great place to live. Beaches, palm trees, sunny and awesome weather, cool people. I lived in outer Sacramento and the bay area for awhile and I miss them every now and then. I was smiling when your were writing about your navigation skills. I’m actually worse, I need the navigation equipment plus my wife to verify that I’m following it correctly. Great post on your About as well as the blog itself.

Gosh, I love this theme! (It won’t work for my blog though. . . ) I love shoes too (though now that I’m old I can only wear very comfortable, supportive ones–no heels anymore), and I also always get lost! My smart phone’s GPS is my new best friend.

Thank you! Now that I have a bad knee and a toddler I tend to only wear flats.

Hello Stacey,
I have enjoyed reading your posts and I’m seriously impressed with the number of posts and the regularity at which you seem to post. It’s not something I’ve been able to master as of yet but I’m working on it.

If you get tired of these things (and I’m sure some people do!), you don’t have to participate. Just know you are appreciated! 🙂

Thank you so much Sarah. The regularity of me posting is still a challenge. It helps having blog buddies to keep me accountable and participating in various blog challenges. I look forward to reading more of your posts! and thanks for the award!

You are so very welcome! I agree- blog buddies certainly keep me motivated to continue on with regular posts and updates. I’ve got much more work to do— but I’m starting to get in a groove (even though it’s quite likely only temporary) 🙂
